Well, God blessed us with another great Expo this past Saturday. It was our 9th in East Tennessee and 44th overall and as always God was faithful in giving us all we needed. In fact, the weather forecast was for thunderstorms all day but we only received some early showers to keep things cool and not a drop after 9am!
The thought of thunderstorms kept a few participants at home but we had a strong volunteer turnout [God even brought some folks from Nashville and Kentucky to serve] including 649 attendees in all blessing and being blessed by each other in God’s gracious presence that day.
It was also great to have 11 local churches [plus one from KY] involved this year and we are thankful for the water, ice, snacks, lunch, prizes, trailers, storage, financial gifts and volunteers they provided.
All in all, it was a truly miraculous Expo. From the many fish caught [we even had a 2-3 pound bass caught] and boat rides given to the opportunity to climb a rockwall and pet a 3 day old calf, there were lots on activities bringing lots of smiles! The homemade chili for the hot dogs and the pimento cheese and tomato bonuses were a big hit, too. I even counted over 12 kayaks on the water at one time full of folks enjoying the calm cool water.
We hope everyone enjoys the above collage and attached pictures and we see you at an Expo near you soon. :)
